Hoping On A Rainbow is an introspective screening of two films focusing on the perpetual rainbow nation narrative. Both Films interrogate who are we, who will we be and can we keep reinventing ourselves?

FACELESS : SLINDILE MTHEMBU, THINA ZIBI & GABI MOTUBA
Faceless, a 9 minute visual audio art piece that follows the story of identifying self, valuing community and self realisation.Which fuses spoken word and dance to illustrate the concept of “togetherness” through movement and the sonic sound of Gabi Motuba’s album Tefiti-Goddess of Creation.

A NEW NATION : SIFISO KHANYILE
South Africa transitioned to democracy amid a wave of optimism. Yet, decades on, it’s the most unequal country in the world with growing unrest. This doccie frankly and openly examines what went wrong with the Rainbow Nation.
